Trichoglossus ornatus or Ornate Lorikeet
This parrot type is very interesting because of the colorful feathers look like a rainbow.
Description and distribution
At first glance, very similar ornet parrot parrot rainbow (T. haematodus). The difference, on the cheek parrot ornet red, while the parrot rainbow dark blue or black. Body length about 25 cm and body weight between 110-130 g. Spread includes P. Sulawesi and surrounding areas.
Population status
 Natural habitat of mountain forests up to an altitude of 1,000 m above sea level, but not like a dense forest. The population in the wild is estimated at more than 50,000 individuals. This bird is protected under the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture. 757/Kpts/Um/12/1979 and confirmed again by Government Regulation No. PJ. 7 / 1999.
