Yellow-throated Hanging-Parrot (Loriculus pusillus)

Description:
Nuri is very small (12 cm), colored green with red tunggir. Upper body is bright green. Lower body green-yellow, tunggung and glowing red tail cover, there are yellow spots on the throat (females and young birds: a much smaller patches).
Iris and yellow beak, orange legs.

 
Voice:
Dentangan rippled: "Srii-ii" in the time fly.
Global Dissemination:
Endemic in Java and Bali.
Local spread and status:
In Java and Bali, commonly found in rain forests, from sea level to 2,000 m, possibly nomadic (moved around) and easily overlooked (not observed).

 
Habit:
Fast flying above the forest in small groups, with a roaring wings screaming. Eating flowers, flower buds and small fruits. Crawling and concurrently on the branches of a tree with an amusing style. Hard to see because of its small size and the color green. It has a strange habit, which is dependent sleep with the head down. Females often seem to carry nest material tucked in between the hairs tunggirnya.

 
Note:
Some authors place this species into Serindit Loriculus vernalis, but different colors and spread the cut off is proof of validity as separate species.

Red-winged Parrot (Aprosmictus erythropterus)

Description:
31 cm. Bright green, slender, and long tail. Tunggir wings stained red and blue. Males have black backs and red spots at the larger wings. Female green-backed.

 
Behavior:
Joined in pairs or large groups up to more than 50 fish. Flying a light and somewhat uncertain. Arboreal birds that feed on seeds, fruits, flowers, and insects in the savannah and open areas are overgrown with trees.
 

Voice:
Sharp and firm like a hammer, also a series of votes like a hawk-alap.
 

Distribution:
Open savanna in the Trans-Fly, between the estuaries S. Digul and S. Fly, and near sea level in Papua. Also found in Australia.

This parrot type is very interesting because of the colorful feathers look like a rainbow.
Description and distribution
At first glance, very similar ornet parrot parrot rainbow (T. haematodus). The difference, on the cheek parrot ornet red, while the parrot rainbow dark blue or black. Body length about 25 cm and body weight between 110-130 g. Spread includes P. Sulawesi and surrounding areas.
Population status

Description and distribution
This type of small parrot, measuring about 10 cm. Interesting habits of these birds are always rested with wire or hanging on a tree branch, with the position of feet above and below the head. The dominant color is green with red backs.

Black-capped Lory (Lorius lory)

One of the main attraction of this type of parrot is the cleverness of speech and beautifully colored so much in demand.

Description and distribution  
Kasturi or better known as the parrot has a wide tail shape. Upper chest and head are red. Section crown of the head is black. Section head down and dark purple coat that would continue until the chest that is shaped like a necklace. Thighs and bottom of the blue tail turkis. Waist area is red and blue colored tail top turkis. Bijau colored wing upper and lower wings are red. Between 200-240 g body weight and body length about 31 cm. 
The spread of this parrot species include Papuan birds head region and surrounding areas, such as P. Batanta, Salawati, and Misool.

Child type
Kasturi-black heads have 7 children types, namely L. l. lory, L .1. erythrothorccc, L. l. somu, L. l. salvadorii, L .1. viridicrissalis, L. Ljobiensis, and L. l. cyanauchen. 
  1. L l. lory. Real characteristics in young type L. l. lory is blue on the neck and extends to the back up into the chest, abdomen, and the topsy-turvy. At the bottom of the wing from wing base to the tip of the red, yellow, and black. In immature birds, purple coat on neck is not fused with the stomach. Spread includes the head of birds of Papua and Papua llnral.
  2. L. l. erythrothorax (red-breasted lory). Trait that is easily seen from the Ll coat borwarna erythrothorax is not full of purple circle on the neck.   4. L.l. salvadorii (parrot Salvadori). Race parrot is similar to L. l. erythrothorca, but the purple color is more dominant than black. This purple color extends to the area under the wing. Spread includes P. Northern Papua, from Aitape to Astrolabe Bay. 
  5. L. l. viridicrissalis. Children viridicrissalis similar type salvadorii subspecies, but the color is more dominant black chest area and extends below the wing. Spread includes P. Northern Papua, from Humboldt Bay to the River Memberamo.
  6. L. l.jobisiensi (parrot Jobi). Jobi Lory characteristics similar to L. l. salvadorii, but red on the chest and purple on the coat over white. Spread includes P. Yapen and in the Gulf Geelvink Mios Num.
  7. L. l. cyanauchen (parrot breeding). Characteristic breeding parrot is blue on the nape united with black on his crown. Purple coat is not fully circular. On the back there are also blue that extends to the chest toward the upside-down terrace. At the bottom of the wings are blue, yellow, and black which is made up from the base to the tip of the wing. The distribution is found only in P. Biak in the Gulf Geelvink. 
Population status
 This bird is widespread in P. Papua and surrounding areas, teratama in the lowlands. Its population is estimated at more than 100,000 individuals. Type of parrot is being protected since 1970 through the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No.421/Kpts/Um/8/1970. The main color of red with the head black. On the neck there are purple-blue necklace. Green wings.

Brehm's Tiger Parrot

Description:
19-24 cm. Medium size, cover the tail below the red, khaki green head, back and tunggir trestle. Boundary between the face and throat typical olive-colored uniforms and upper chest of green light (male) or trestle yellow and black (female). Males with yellow sheen on the neck.
Behavior:

Flying in a short distance and duration above the canopy. Birds are benign, usually alone or in small groups up to 4 tails. Picking up grit from the trail. Birds are common but not conspicuous.
Voice:
Voice calls are clear "ee yurr" that sounded sad.
Distribution:
Central Range of Papua, Bird's Head peninsula and the Huon region, at an altitude of 1500-2600 m.
